        Types of Written Statements. 

                 Law:-O-VIII (8), Rr. 1 & 9, CPC.

Written Statements can be filed by a defendant 

1-As of right without any formal permission of the Court; (O-VIII (8), R-1

2-As directed /adourned by the Court to file a Written Statement.  (O-VIII (8), Rr. l &9)

3-With leave of the Court.(O-VIII (8), R-9).
